Skopje: presentation at the American Corner Skopje: The Supreme Court

On Friday night I had the pleasure of speaking at the American Corner in Skopje - about the Supreme Court of the United States.  What a great turnout! I enjoyed the discussion with law students, judges, and members of the general public who participated this evening.

I brought copies of the US Constitution for all attendees

As the US Embassy of Macedonia explains on its website:

"The American Corner program is sponsored worldwide by the U.S. Department of State and is a partnership between country's host institution and the U.S. Embassy.
The purpose of the Corners is to provide free information to the general public about the United States through books, magazines, CD-ROMs, and complimentary access to the Internet. There is a specialized area for information about anti-trafficking and anti-terrorism efforts.
The Corner also host a wide variety of events: such as cultural programs and guest lectures from U.S. Embassy officials, Fulbright scholars, and others, film and video showings, poetry readings, conversational hours, Readers Club, children's story hours, and many other activities.
An important mission of American Corners is to build bridges of understanding between people of the United States of America and the Republic of Macedonia.
