Bitola: A visit with the American Corner Bitola

I have posted elsewhere on this blog about the American Corner program -- in case you missed it -- please see the US Embassy in Macedonia's American Corner Program website:
https://mk.usembassy.gov/education-culture/american-corners-in-macedonia/

In short, the American Corners bring American culture to the people, outside the capital in Skopje.

As of today, I have visited all of the American Corners in Macedonia: Skopje, Tetovo, Struga, Stip and Bitola.

Here is the description of services provided by the American Corner Bitola (from their facebook page)

"American Corner Bitola is a partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Macedonia and the Center for Culture in Bitola. The purpose of the Corner is to provide free information to the general public about the United States through books, magazines, DVDs, and complimentary access to the Internet. The Corner also hosts a wide variety of events: such as cultural programs and guest lectures from U.S. Embassy Officials, Fulbright Scholars, US Alumni, also Video Showings, Clubs and many other activities."

"The American Corner in Bitola is a comprehensive EducationUSA advising center with a very talented adviser serving both international students and the U.S. higher education community. The center hosts a Competitive College Club for talented students from Bitola. Macedonia is also the recipient of the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program which supports the application costs very talented, economically disadvantaged students."
