QSI Skopje: Community Time and PSG meeting, March 31

On the last Friday of the month, my daughter's school hosts a "Community Time" - which features different classes/activities. The event is followed by a PSG (Parent Support Group) meeting in the Community Room (like a cafe ... that includes a coffee bar!)

At this month's meeting we saw 2 short plays - written and performed by the 5-8-year-old after school drama program. (They also made their costumes and designed their sets.)  We also saw the 7-8-year-olds perform skits/movie showing what they learned about comparing fractions (writing letters, Dear Miss Fraction...).  Entertaining. And showed the students practical application of understanding fractions.

I look forward to these monthly events.  I enjoy seeing the creativity and the love of learning that is fostered through these teaching methods.

I got to ride the "bus" to school with my daughter...she didn't want me to quiz her on her Spanish vocab (pictured in her hands) in front of her friends ...

one of the PSG projects is creating this community garden - each of the classrooms will be able to have one of the beds

once completed the arrangement will look like a flower (and there will be seating, water feature)
